दामाद को नहीं छूने चाहिए ससुर के पैर
पौराणिक मान्याता के अनुसार, दामाद को किसी भी परिस्थिति में अपने ससुर के पैर नहीं छूने चाहिए। कहते हैं कि जब से महादेव ने राजा दक्ष का शीश काटा था तब से यह परंपरा चली आ रही है।
भांजे को नहीं छूने चाहिए मामा के पैर
कहा जाता है कि भांजे को कभी भी अपने मामा के पैर नहीं छूने चाहिए। मान्यता है कि जब भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने कंस का उद्धार किया है तब से यह नियम चला आ रहा है। आज भी लोग इस बात के इनकार नहीं करते।
कुंवारी कन्या
धार्मिक मान्यतानुसार, मनुष्य को कभी भी कुंवारी कन्याओं से पैर नहीं छुलवाने चाहिए। दरअसल सनातन परंपरा में कुंवारी कन्याओं साक्षात् देवी का स्वरूप माना गया है। ऐसा करवाने वालों को पाप का भागी बनना पड़ता है।
सन्यासी नहीं छूते कभी किसी के पैर
सनातन धार्मिक परंपरा में सन्यासी को हमेशा सम्मान की नजरों से देखा जाता है। सन्यास की दीक्षा ग्रहण करने के बाद सन्यासी कभी किसी के पैर नहीं छूते। आपने बड़े-बड़े योग और संतो के साथ ऐसा देखा होगा। ऐसे में जो सन्यासी हैं या सन्यास ग्रहण करने की इच्छा रखते हैं, उन्हें हमेशा इस बात का ध्यान रखना चाहिए।
सोए या लेटे व्यक्ति की पैर न छूएं
धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, अगर कोई व्यक्ति लेटा या सोया हुआ है तो उसके पैर नहीं छूने चाहिए। हालांकि सिर्फ मरे हुए व्यक्ति के पैर छूए जाते हैं। कहा जाता है कि जो कोई ऐसा करता है उसे पाप का भागी बनना ही पड़ता है। ऐसे में इस बात का हमेशा ख्याल रखना चाहिए।
मंदिर में न छूएं किसी व्यक्ति के पैर
धर्म-शास्त्रों के जानकार बताते हैं कि व्यक्ति कितना भी बड़ा क्यों ना हो अगर वह मंदिर में है तो उसके पैर नहीं छूने चाहिए। ऐसा करने से मंदिर में स्थित देव प्रतिमाओं का अपमान होता है। साथ ही मंदिर परिसर में ऐसा करने वालों को पाप का भागी बनने से कोई नहीं बचा पाता। इसलिए इस बात का हमेशा ध्यान रखें। हालांकि मंदिर परिसर से बाहर ऐसा करने की मनाही नहीं है।
अशौच व्यक्ति
सनातन धर्म की मान्यताओं के अनुसार, अगर कोई अशुद्ध स्थिति या अशौच स्थिति में है तो उसके पैर नहीं छूने चाहिए। कहा जाता है कि ऐसा करने वालों को पाप का भागी बनना पड़ता है।
पूजा-पाठ या माला करते हुए व्यक्ति
कहा जाता है कि अगर कोई व्यक्ति पूजा-पाठ कर रहा है, माला कर रहा है या फिर भजन कर रहा है तो उसके पैर नहीं छूने चाहिए। ऐसा करने से पाप के भागी बनने से कोई नहीं बचा सकता। हालांकि जब व्यक्ति पूजा-पाठ इत्यादि कर ले तब उसके पैर छूए जा सकते हैं।
